About

Bruce Pardy, LL.B. (Western), LL.M. (Dalhousie), is a Senior Fellow at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy, Professor of Law at Queen’s University, and Executive Director of Rights Probe. A legal scholar and commentator, Pardy is known for his principled critique of legal progressivism and the discretionary administrative state. He has taught law in Canada, the United States, and New Zealand, and practiced civil litigation with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto. His areas of focus include environmental governance, property theory, constitutional law, and civil liberties. His work has appeared in the National Post, Financial Post, Epoch Times, and at institutions such as the Fraser Institute and the Macdonald-Laurier Institute. He served as an adjudicator and mediator on Ontario’s Environmental Review Tribunal and is co-author of the Free North Declaration, a civil liberties petition responding to COVID-19 overreach. Through Rights Probe and public scholarship, he champions individual freedom, the rule of law, and restrained government.
